The Northwoods Rewilding Institute
Slow down. You have arrived.
If you have stumbled across this page, you probably know something is deeply disturbed with the state of the world and are seeking an alternative way forward.
We The Earth is here to help.
We The Earth is a prayer, a practice, and a place. A prayer for a cultural turn towards life-affirming lifeways. A practice of coming back to our senses and our bodies, returning to the here and now, and re-membering our role as tenders of our earthly kin. And a magical place that has never stopped embodying this prayer and this practice.
The Northwoods Rewilding Institute
We The Earth is a seasonal retreat center located on the Yellow Dog River in the Northwoods of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Our vision is to be leaders in the resurgence of cultures rooted in regenerative place-based subsistance lifeways.
Our mission is to promote rewilding through place-based arts, skills, and healing. This comes to life in the form of sanctuary, gathering, and experiential education.
